In this course, you’ll learn to read and write Korean from scratch, and you’ll learn it thoroughly.

You’ll also learn some basics, such as words, greetings, short sentences, and numbers. No prior knowledge is required for the course; the goal is to build a solid foundation for future Korean language studies.

The course includes assignments and exercises designed to practice reading, writing, and especially pronunciation. Pronunciation and its exceptions are explained in depth in Finnish.

The teachers have a good understanding of the similarities and differences between Korean and Finnish phonology, and they also provide many useful practical tips for studying Korean, specifically based on their own experience as language learners. The course is therefore certainly beneficial even for those who already know the Korean alphabet but would like to further strengthen their skills and improve their pronunciation.

The teachers are Finnish siblings who have been studying Korean themselves for nine years. In addition, they are currently studying at a Korean online university to become teachers of the Korean language and culture.

You will learn how to read and write, thoroughly at a steady pace.
